Director of Design and User Experience
Design Director of WSJ.com from 1995 to 2008. In that time period, I designed the complete visual online presence and user experience of the Wall Street Journal and Barron's properties.
Initially hired to envision the future of Dow Jones print publications online, I went on to create the entire brand identity and user experiences for most of the digital properties under the WSJ network of sites. This included the information architecture, navigation schema, taxonomy and online presentation of daily news, special features and interactive news graphics.
Hired in June of 2008 to create a Design & User Experience department to help accelerate and enhance GLG's product offerings.
Lead the adoption of the agile methodology for the UX team. This methodology enabled us to rapidly prototype and release new product features and enhancements. For example, we redesigned the public online experience in six weeks. ROI and data metrics exceeded expectations.
Design directed the first mobile product offering for GLG's Consulting Management Platform. Created numerous product offerings and enhancements to the Research and Survey Management Platforms. Directed the design of a media project that engages industry influencers to share their ideas and visions with others in GLG's network.
